Carol Rivers, Parish Administrator:
All praise to God for the good things He has done.
In late September of 1999 I prayed for 3 things.
1. That I would never work for corporate America again,
2. That I would not have to commute to work, &
3. That I would be able to make enough money
to take care of my family and myself.
I began to look for a job after being banished from a
long-term position with a top ranking, Railroad Company
in the city of San Francisco. In my many endeavors
I came across an advertisement in the local paper
for the position of Office Manager. I was apprehensive
about applying for the position because my
resume showed no work experience for the position
I was applying for. I knew this job was for
me and if given the chance I could prove it.
A friend talked me into applying. I turned in my
application a couple of days before they stopped
excepting them. Came to find out that one of
the interviewers had the same first & middle name
as I do (unusual), and when they called me back for
a 2nd interview, I knew God had prepared & me
for the position that I now currently hold
as Parish Administrator of the Saint Paulus Church.
As the Parish Administrator, exercising the image of
Jesus Christ on a daily basis to my co-workers, friends,
visitors and community has been and continues to be
the number one priority. Out reach is
something that Jesus did for the love of the world
and practicing the same outreach vision He had
for the world is a must.
